Anfield stadium
Anfield has been the home of Liverpool FC since it opened in 1884. The stadium has four stands: the Spion Kop, the Main Stand, the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand and the Anfield Road End. The capacity was increased to 54,074 in September 2016 upon completion of the Main Stand expansion, adding an extra 8,500 seats. Anfield’s record attendance is 61,905 for an FA Cup fifth round tie with Wolves in 1952, when the stadium allowed for standing. Anfield has also hosted non-football events, such as Rugby League and music concerts.
