Liverpool Crown Court
The Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts in Derby Square is one of the busiest law centres in Europe. Built in 1984, the imposing brutalist-style building was designed to mimic Liverpool Castle which stood on the same site between the 13th and 18th centuries. The complex houses Merseyside’s crown courts, the youth court and Liverpool’s magistrates courts.
