With the long-awaited spring months finally here, it can only mean one thing - the Easter holidays are around the corner. In anticipation of families looking for ways to enjoy the break, Merseyrail invites you to ‘get your spring moving’ over the Easter holidays, with low-cost fares and reliable travel to exciting Easter family events across the Liverpool City Region.
Offering a variety of money-saving ticket options, the rail network ensures that travel is affordable and easy. The Family ticket allows for travel to most major attractions and destinations in Merseyside. The ticket can be used for up to five people and is just £13. It covers one or two adults travelling with children aged between five and 15.
Or, choose a 'Day Saver' which allows you to make as many off-peak journeys as you like throughout the day with one ticket. This unlimited, 'hop on hop off' ticket costs from £4.45 for an adult and from £2.20 for a young person (aged between five and 18).
Both these tickets are valid for off-peak travel, anytime on weekends and after 9.30am Monday to Friday, (excluding bank holidays).

Liverpool Indoor Funfair
From April 4 until April 13, the Exhibition Centre at Kings Dock will host over 26 thrilling fairground rides and attractions at the Indoor Funfair.
Recognised as being amazing value for money, it's the perfect Easter holiday activity for kids. Tickets are just £12.99, babies in arms go free, and one admission gets you three whole hours of enjoying all the fun of the fair.

Half term holiday camp at Liverpool Trampoline Gymnastics Academy
Liverpool Trampoline Gymnastics Academy offers kids the perfect opportunity to keep active, have fun, blow off some steam, and develop some new skills during the Easter break at its half term holiday camp.
Welcoming children of all abilities, from beginners to advanced, the academy boasts 10 Olympic trampolines, a tumble track and foam pits. Camp will take place from April 3 until April 14.

Otterspool Adventure is at it again, with a fantastic immersive experience for our little ones, and this time, it's Easter themed.

Children’s Easter Party at Palm House Sefton Park
On April 5, Palm House Sefton Park is inviting families to enjoy an exciting children’s Easter party. Brimming with fun things to do such as dancing, an egg hunt, games and a special visit from the Easter bunny, the party is the perfect event for children to revel in the magic of Easter.
The location is also home to a stunning park, and visitors are welcome to meander around it and enjoy the spring flowers. Adults do not need a ticket to enter, and tickets for children are £15.

Easter Egg Trail and workshops at Bombed Out Church
From April 1 until April 8, the Bombed Out Church will be hosting an Easter egg trail and enthralling themed workshops such as origami chicks crafts.
Each child will be given their very own activity pack with activities like dot-to-dot, colouring, and a wordsearch. No pre-booking is required, so families are welcome to just turn up and get involved in the fun.

Easter Extravaganza at Southport Market
On April 7 and 8, Southport Market will be hosting an unmissable half term Easter extravaganza, which will include a live interactive show of ‘Colin and his Egg-tastic Adventure’, free face painting and many more exciting activities for children.
