Heswall

Located on the banks of the Dee Estuary Heswall enjoys spectacular views of the Welsh hills. The town's Poll Hill is the highest point on the Wirral Peninsula - and home to several areas of natural beauty including the Dales, an expanse of sandy heathland popular with ramblers. Notable sons of Heswall include retired England cricketer Ian Botham, who was born in the town, and the late DJ and music journalist John Peel.
