The rated 15 horror has received impressive scores online - including 7.5/10 on IMDb and a whopping 97% of 100 on Rotten Tomatoes. Many critics have given it glowing reviews, with Hollywood Reporter's David Rooney writing: "Thematically a bit thin but doesn’t stint on genuine scares, intensity or revulsion", according to WalesOnline.
On Twitter, one user claimed she is 'too scared' to watch the trailer as it may 'leave her struggling to sleep.' Another user tweeted: “How scary is Talk To Me? I'm hesitating to watch it bc the trailer looks like it's gonna f*** up my sleep schedule.”
A third added: “Got to attend an early screening for the upcoming A24 film #TalkToMe tonight in Detroit! I can confidently say the hype is real and it’s the scariest film so far in 2023. The Philippou brothers bring a new take to possessions and I can’t wait to dissect it more on 2nd viewing!”
